AAA reports that the average gallon of gas in the county currently costs $5.24. That’s up nearly 40 cents from a week ago and nearly a dollar from this same time last month.
The current average for regular unleaded gas now sits about thirty cents away from the county’s highest price ever recorded by AAA in the fall of 2022.
Meanwhile, diesel prices are just five cents away from setting an all-time record.
