BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Have you ever trekked to the top of Seattle’s tallest building?
A group of local firefighters did just that, and for a great cause no less.
Fourteen members of the Bellingham Fire Department took part in the Firefighter Stairclimb on Sunday, March 12th.
Along with over 2,000 other firefighters from around the world, they climbed over 69 floors in full bunker gear at the Columbia Center to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
All told, the team from Bellingham raised over $12,000 for the cause.
