OLYMPIA, Wash. – The State Department of Agriculture reported that no murder hornets or nests were found in Washington last year.
Now, they are looking for someone to help them keep that number low, both for the Northern Giant hornets and other invasive species.
Ideal candidates for the giant hornet and wood boring trapper role would have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in horticulture, botany, or agronomy.
The Department of Agriculture wants this person to lead a team of five people in placing traps, removing nests, and handle stinging insects.
