BELLINGHAM, Wash. – PeaceHealth is updating its masking requirements now that the Washington State Department of Health has ended its rule mandating masks in healthcare facilities.
Caregivers, patients and visitors at PeaceHealth facilities are no longer required to wear masks except in some high-risk areas and situations.
Those include infusion centers, dialysis units, radiation facilities and oncology clinics.
Patients with respiratory illnesses will still be asked to wear masks and PeaceHealth says patients in hospitals and clinics are welcome to request that their care team wear masks.
