EVERSON, Wash. – Police tracked down a driver who fled the scene after he hit a Lynden woman as she rode her bike.

The State Patrol reports the 27-year-old woman was riding on the shoulder of Everson Goshen Road at around 7 a.m. on Thursday, June 8th.

A car heading in the same direction veered onto the shoulder, striking her.

She was taken to Peacehealth St Joseph Medical Center.

The driver of the car, 24-year-old Rafael Toribiolopez of Everson, left the scene but was later located by Everson Police.

The incident remains under investigation.
