BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The City of Bellingham is asking the community to help with conserving the local water supply.
They say watering lawns and landscapes accounts for nearly 90% of a big increase in water usage during the summer months.
A voluntary summer watering schedule has been created to help limit wasteful over-watering.
It is a guide that assigns watering days based on even and odd address numbers.
There is also an online water conservation pledge that residents can fill out to receive information on ways to save mailed to their homes.
