The World Cup quarterfinals are officially set.

Tomorrow will be the first day off of the tournament before France and Morocco play in Foxborough on Thursday. Spain and Belgium are next with a duel in LA on Friday.

Norway and England start off Saturday’s slate with a match in Miami before Argentina and Switzerland cap the night off in Kansas City. Both of those teams are coming off tight wins earlier today.

Argentina rallied after trailing Egypt 2-0 with just over 10 minutes left in regular time to pull off a historic comeback. Lionel Messi scored and assisted on a pair of goals before Enzo Fernandez scored the game-winner, with all three goals coming in the span of 13 minutes.

After that, Switzerland outscored Colombia 4-3 on penalties after playing to a scoreless draw up in Vancouver.

The US had their magical World Cup run come to an end in Seattle last night with a disappointing 4-1 loss to Belgium.

Mariners News

The Mariners are battling the Marlins in the first game of their road trip to Florida.

The M’s are coming off a successful homestand that saw them go 5-1. Their dominant pitching has only allowed two runs over the past four games and threw 24 consecutive shutout innings coming into today’s game.

Seattle’s now facing a Marlins team that just swept the Athletics and has put itself in a firm position for a wild card spot in the National League. First pitch was at 3:40 on KPUG.

Bells News

The Bells are back at home tonight for the first time in two weeks.

They’re hosting the Northwest Star Nighthawks in the first of a three-game stretch against non-league opponents.

The Bells are looking for relief amid their worst stretch of the season. Ever since they ended their season-best 10-game win streak, they’ve lost seven of their last nine games over a nightmare road trip.

First pitch for tonight’s game is at 6:35 from Joe Martin Field. The first 900 fans will receive a special Bells dad hat.

Storm News

The Storm picked up a much-needed win last night.

They topped the Los Angeles Sparks 82-64 to avoid dropping their third straight game. Flau’jae Johnson scored a game-high 23 points and the Storm picked up their sixth win of the year despite a rough game from their leading scorer on the season Dominique Malonga.

Next up, the Storm continue their road trip with a game against the Atlanta Dream on Thursday.
