Mariners News

The Mariners are looking to rebound tonight from yet another rough weekend.

The M’s are in Anaheim for the first of three against the Los Angeles Angels.

Seattle’s coming off a series loss to the Athletics that was bookended by walk-off losses.

Former Mariner Donovan Walton hit a walkoff homer in the 10th inning of Friday’s series opener and the Mariners answered by clubbing the A’s 19-1 on Saturday in their biggest margin of victory in franchise history. But they couldn’t carry that momentum over to yesterday’s rubber match, where the A’s overcame a four-run deficit in the seventh inning and hit another walkoff homer.

The Mariners now sit five games out of first place in the AL West with just 12 games remaining. They’re facing an Angels club that owns the second-worst record in baseball.

Coverage begins at 5:30 and first pitch is at 6:38 on KGMI with Kade Anderson on the mound.
