Seahawks News
A pair of tech industry titans are rumored to be in the mix for the next owner of the Seahawks.
Front Office Sports reported today that Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg and Apple CEO Tim Cook are among four potential majority buyers of the team, citing several sources “familiar with the matter.” The other two potential bidders were not named and it’s still unclear whether any formal offers have been made.
But a reporter with Puck gave a conflicting report, claiming sources “close to both men” have said neither are considering bids.
Paul Allen’s estate announced in February that it’s putting the Seahawks up for sale in accordance with his will. A $4 billion sale of Allen’s Trail Blazers was recently approved by the NBA.
Mariners News
The Mariners have released injury updates on several key players.
All-Star third baseman Brendan Donovan seems close to making his return from the injured list. He’s been out of the lineup since April 18 with a left groin strain.
Manager Dan Wilson says he expects Donovan to return at some point during their homestand.
Meanwhile, Bryce Miller is still working back from an oblique inflammation that cut his spring training short. He’s expected to make the third start of his rehab assignment tomorrow with the Tacoma Rainiers before rejoining the team in mid-May.
Reliever Matt Brash is getting his side checked out today after leaving just two pitches into yesterday’s win over the Twins. Brash told reporters that he’s been dealing with it for several days, but says it isn’t anything “super serious.”
The Mariners have the day off today before kicking off a six-game homestand against the Kansas City Royals tomorrow night.
Coverage begins at 5:30 and first pitch is at 6:40 on KPUG with Bryan Woo on the mound.

ESPN reports that she’s receiving interest from across the league.
