Mariners News
The Mariners have a chance to clinch their series in Baltimore tonight on the heels of a thrilling win.
The M’s topped the Orioles 6-5 in extras last night thanks to Randy Arozarena’s 2-run home run in the 10th inning. Arozarena finished with three hits and three RBI, while Mitch Garver added a 3-run shot.
Logan Gilbert tossed six innings of one-run ball as the M’s took a 2-0 lead in the four-game series.
They’re back tonight with George Kirby making the start. Coverage begins at 2:30 and first pitch is at 3:35 on KPUG.
Meanwhile, the team will be without a key bullpen arm for the next few weeks.
The Mariners placed Matt Brash on the 15-day injured list today with a right lat strain. It’s the second time he’s hit the IL in the past month, with similar injuries.
But the M’s also have a star that’s looking ready to make his return to the majors.
Cal Raleigh hit two home runs yesterday, including a grand slam, in his second rehab appearance and first with the Tacoma Rainiers. He hit the IL in mid-May with an oblique strain, as the Mariners plan to reassess his status after he finishes out the week with Tacoma.
Bells News
The Bells are looking to find their footing on offense tonight in Game 2 against the NightOwls.
Bellingham fell to Nanaimo 6-1 yesterday in a game where they only managed three hits. The NightOwls ripped off three runs in the first inning and never looked back as the Bells fell to 5-5 on the season.
With the win, Nanaimo vaulted to first place in the North Division, while the Bells sit in a tie for third.
They’ll aim to even up the series tonight, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 from Joe Martin Field.

They’re hosting the Los Angeles Sparks in the midst of a six-game skid.
The Storm are off to a woeful 3-10 start to the season that puts them in last place in the Western Conference. The Sparks are only a few games ahead after snapping a recent skid of their own.
Tonight’s game tips off at 7:00 from Climate Pledge Arena.
NBA/NHL Finals News
The NBA Finals continues tonight with a critical Game 4 in New York.
The Knicks have a chance to take a commanding 3-1 lead, while the Spurs will look to even the series at two games apiece before heading back to San Antonio.
Speaking of tying a series up, the Carolina Hurricanes did just that last night, topping the Vegas Golden Knights 5-3. Jordan Staal scored two goals for Carolina, including the tiebreaker, to even the series 2-2 heading back to Raleigh tomorrow.
