BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Listen up, students!

There is a new award coming to honor excellence in teaching here in Whatcom County.

Brown and Brown Insurance says they will introduce their Excellence in Education Award Program in 2024 and give $5,000 to the winner.

Brown and Brown’s Paul Kenner says it is a great opportunity for students to thank and support a teacher of their choice.

Students can start submitting nominations in January and a finalist and winner a will be named this spring.
