The Seattle Kraken delivered a thrilling win last night on KPUG.

Kailer Yamamoto scored the first, and only, goal in a shootout to help edge the Boston Bruins 4-3.

David Pastrnak had a hat trick in the loss for the Bruins.

It’s Boston’s third straight loss and seventh in their last nine games.

It’s also Seattle’s second win over the NHL-leading Bruins this month.

The Kraken are back against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.

 

Mariners spring training continues today in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The M’s are coming off a 2-0 win over the Reds yesterday in their first win of the season.

They played the San Francisco Giants today to a 10-10 tie with home runs coming from Mitch Garver, Dominic Canzone and Michael Chavis.

The Washington State men’s basketball team had their hot stretch ended over the weekend.

They lost to Arizona State 73-61 on Saturday to snap their eight-game win streak.

The 21st-ranked Cougars were coming off a major win over 4th-ranked Arizona earlier in the week.

They now fall to 21-7 overall and 12-5 in Pac-12 play.

The UW women upset No. 9 Oregon State 61-51.

The WSU women beat Oregon 71-61.

The UW men lost to No. 4 Arizona 91-75.

 

The Western Washington University softball team had its perfect start to the season ended on Saturday.

They lost to Western Oregon 2-1 to stop their win streak at 13 games.

That set the program and conference record for best undefeated start to the season.

The 16th nationally ranked Vikings will return home next weekend to host Simon Frasier in a pair of doubleheaders.

 

And prep basketball state tournament action gets started at the Yakima SunDome tomorrow morning.

The 10th-seeded Meridian boys will continue their playoff run against 7th-seeded Seton Catholic in a win-or-go-home game in the round of 12.

Winner will book a ticket to the quarterfinals against top-seeded Zillah.
