Legendary defensive lineman Aaron Donald announced that he’s stepping away after 10 seasons.

Donald is one of three players to ever win the Defensive Player of the Year three times.

The 32-year-old holds the Rams franchise record with 111 sacks throughout his career.

 

The Washington State men got a big win last night in the Pac-12 tournament quarterfinals.

The second-seeded Cougs beat 10th-seeded Stanford 79-62 behind 16 points from senior Isaac Jones.

Six players scored in double-digits in an evenly divided offensive attack by Washington State.

They’re facing third-seeded Colorado in the semifinals at 7:30 tonight.

If the Cougs win, they’ll find themselves in the conference championship for the first time in program history.

Winner of tonight’s game will face the winner of fourth-seeded Oregon vs top-seeded Arizona, who the Cougs have already beat twice this year.

 

The Western Washington University women are also advancing, this time in the national tournament.

The third-seeded Vikings beat sixth-seeded Cal Poly Pomona 66-61 this afternoon to advance to the second round.

Senior Brooke Walling led the team with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists.

She was just named to the All-West Region First Team for the second straight year.

The Vikings now move on to face the winner of Cal St. San Marcos vs. Point Loma.

 

The Seattle Kraken lost to the Washington Capitals 2-1 last night on KPUG.

Connor McMichael scored the game-winning goal with just over eight minutes left in the game to seal the win for Washington.

Oliver Bjorkstrand scored the lone goal of the game for the Kraken.

Seattle has now lost three straight games as they stay nine points behind Vegas for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

They’ll look to improve their chances tomorrow night against the Nashville Predators.

And a Seattle sports legend is being honored for her legendary soccer career.

The Seattle Reign announced that they will be retiring Megan Rapinoe’s No. 15 jersey.

Rapinoe played for the Reign from their inaugural season in 2013 until the end of her career last year.

She becomes just the second National Women’s Soccer League player to have her jersey retired.

The official ceremony will be on August 25 at Lumen Field.
