The Mariners ended their trip to the Bronx with a series tie against the Yankees.

The M’s lost the last game 5-0 this morning after home runs from Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton gave the Yankees an early lead.

Seattle’s offense sputtered with just three hits and twelve strikeouts in the shutout loss.

Luis Castillo gave up two runs in five innings in the start to fall to 4-6 on the season.

The Yankees maintained their lead at the top of the American League standings with the win.

The Mariners still hold a three-game lead over the Rangers for first place in the AL West.

The M’s will begin the last leg of their East Coast road trip tomorrow against the Washington Nationals.

Coverage begins at 2:30 and first pitch is at 3:45 on KPUG.

The Seattle Storm held off Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever before a sell-out crowd of 18,000 last night.

Clark fumbled a last-second inbounds pass and the Storm held on for a tight 85-83 win at Climate Pledge Arena.

Jewell Loyd shrugged off a sluggish start to the season with a game-high 32 points to lead the Storm.

Nneka Ogwumike added 22 after missing the past two games with an ankle injury.

Seattle rookie Nika Muhl made her debut in last night’s game after missing the first four games of the season due to visa issues.

Caitlin Clark led the Fever with 21 points as they dropped to 0-5 on the season.

The Storm improved to 2-3 and will have a chance to even their record up against the Washington Mystics on Friday.

Western Washington University’s softball team faced elimination twice yesterday but didn’t blink.

The Vikings beat UIndy 2-1 in a 12 inning game and 7-1 in the rematch to advance to the NCAA D-II World Series Final in Longwood, FL.

Kimball pitched 13 strong innings over both elimination games while Kong refused to allow a score in relief.

The 52-10 Vikings now move on to the NCAA Division II Championship Series against No. 2 nationally ranked UT Tyler.

The Vikings fell to the Patriots 10-1 earlier in the tournament.

They’ll have a chance at redemption this Friday in the first of the three-game series.
