WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Organizers for Whatcom County’s heritage multisport race are asking the community for volunteers.

Ski to Sea organizers say they need more than 200 volunteers to pitch in on Memorial Day weekend.

Former race director Anna Rankin says there’s plenty of fun ways to help with the sold-out event.

“One of the funnest ways to do it is to get together with friends, neighbors, church groups, families. The more people you get together, the best,” Rankin told My Bellingham Now.

All volunteers will receive a Ski to Sea T-shirt along with a free lunch on race day. Volunteers will also be invited to a Volunteer Appreciation party on June 12.
