BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Developers are in the home stretch of finishing Bellingham’s latest tiny home project.

On May 5, Bellingham City Councilmembers were informed that the North Haven tiny home village should be ready for residents by the end of this month.

My Bellingham Now previously reported that leases for Bellingham’s tiny home lots at Swift Haven and Unity Village have expired. The North Haven site, located on the former North Coast Credit Union property on Northwest Avenue, was purchased by the city last April.

They’ve been working with non-profit organization HomesNOW! to consult with the new project and to help prepare current tiny home residents for the future transition.

15 larger units are being built to replace some of the structures that Swift Haven residents have been living in.

HomesNOW! will be donating 25 of the smaller dwellings to United Way of Skagit County.
