SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A portion of the Skagit River is reopening for salmon fishing later this month.
The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife has put out a rule change to allow fishing on the Skagit River for sockeye from June 16 through July 15.
Limits do apply to where you can fish and how much.
Fishing is only allowed between the Memorial Highway Bridge in Mount Vernon to the Dalles Bridge at Concrete during the day.
You can also only catch a maximum of four fish per day, and they must be sockeye salmon at least 12 inches in length.
