BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – You could have a hand in the design of Bellingham’s incoming waterfront skatepark.
The City of Bellingham has opened an online survey to gather community input on the design and features of the future skatepark located beneath the Roeder Avenue Bridge.
My Bellingham Now previously reported that the city acquired land under the bridge earlier this year to upgrade the unofficial skatepark there into a city-owned space.
The city is partnering with the locally-based Northwest Skate Collective and Seattle-based Grindline Skateparks, which has already released a conceptual design.
They’re hoping to have a completed design by early 2026, but there’s no estimated opening date for the park yet.
Those who want to learn more and give their feedback in person can also attend an open house at Depot Market Square this Monday at 6 p.m.
You can view some of the initial designs and find a link for the survey here.
