BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man was killed after being hit by two cars over the weekend.

BPD Lt. Claudia Murphy said that 47-year-old Brandon Mast was initially hit by a driver near a crosswalk on North Samish Way on Saturday night, February 18th.

The driver told officers that they did not see Mast until he was struck.

A second car saw that the first car had pulled over, but was unable to avoid Mast, who was still lying on the road.

Neither driver has been identified.

Police added that drugs and alcohol were not involved in the accident.
