BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A local organization is hosting a giveaway for students in need.

Blue Skies For Children announced they are partnering with Christ The King Church to give out new shoes, socks, and backpacks starting next Tuesday, July 25th.

Low income, homeless, and foster children from Whatcom and Skagit Counties can try on and pick out their new gear at the church, located on the Guide Meridian.

Dewey Griffin Subaru has also announced they are donating $2,500 towards this giveaway.

Community members can also donate new shoes, socks, backpacks, or financial contributions through Blue Skies’ website.

The giveaway will continue through next Saturday, July 29th, and hours for pickup vary daily.

Pickup times:

Tuesday, July 25th from 1 to 6 pm

Wednesday, July 26th from 10 am to 3 pm

Thursday, July 27th from 1 to 6 pm
