SEA-TAC, Wash. – Labor Day weekend is coming up and travelers are being advised to plan ahead for massive crowds.

Sea-Tac Airport is expecting to see volumes of passengers that match pre-pandemic levels, according to the Port of Seattle.

The busiest day is estimated to be Monday, September 4th, with 190,000 travelers making their way through the airport.

They are projecting to get 18% higher traffic than Labor Day last year.

Meanwhile, WSDOT is expecting 400,000 passengers aboard state ferries through next Tuesday.

They are advising travelers to prepare for possible last-minute schedule changes due to a lack of staffing.

The department says this weekend will close out what is looking to be the system’s busiest summer in four years.
