LYNDEN, Wash. – The Whatcom County Library System is putting out a call to all local teen-aged artists.
Submissions opened on Friday, September 1st, for WHATCOMICS 2023, the annual publication that showcases the artwork of our counties talented young artists.
Any Whatcom County teen in grades 6 through 12 can submit up to 3 entries of 2-D art for consideration to be published.
Accepted artworks will not only be published in this years book, but also framed and displayed in an art show at the Lynden Library in January.
Select pieces from the publication will also be used to decorate a local WTA bus as a travelling art exhibit.
Interested artists can submit their work at their local library or online at WCLS.org with a deadline of October 31st.
