WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The search continues for a missing Canadian hiker in the North Cascades.

Whatcom County’s Dept of Emergency Management said that additional crews were called to help find 34-year-old Gursimran Singh on Thursday, July 2.

Singh, who also uses the last name Randhawa, entered the U.S. on June 21 and was expected to return to his Kamloops residence by June 28. He was last seen hiking near the Twin Sisters Mountain. Rescue crews found his truck six miles up Middle Fork Road on June 30.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Bellingham Mountain Rescue and Whatcom 4×4 were among other agencies assisting the Sheriff’s Office with their search.

The Whatcom County Sherriff’s Office said that mountain rescue units from across western Washington conducted joint searches for Singh over the weekend.

On Sunday, Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue Team flew a crew to the South Twin Sister in an effort to search the mountain’s glacier on foot.

Drone searches of the area have also been conducted.

Anyone who may have information on Singh’s location is asked to call 911.
