WSDOT says drivers should expect delays on that stretch of I-5 on Wednesday morning.
A portion of the highway near Marblemount has been closed since suffering damage from December’s historic flooding.
The lane closure will be in effect from 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21 until 5 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22.
Her passenger and the suspect driver were taken to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, while the occupants of the third car were not injured.
WSDOT says all lanes have reopened on this stretch of I-5.
The work will require a five-day full closure of the highway, likely in early February.
The work to repair a plugged culvert near Maple Falls is expected to last through early February.
Some side roads, including parts of Bayon, Lampman, and Dewey Roads are also closed.
Everson Goshen Road was closed for several hours following the incident.
