BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man has pled guilty to raping a tenant of his home.

Court documents state that the man had been drinking and using marijuana with his wife and the tenant on January 14th inside their home.

The tenant became sick and later went to sleep in her rental room.

The man, identified as 38-year-old Johnathan Kennedy, was seen on security footage checking to see if his wife fell asleep in their main bedroom.

Kennedy then returned to the tenant’s room and sexually assaulted her without her consent.

A sentencing date for Kennedy has not been set.
