NEWHALEM, WA. – (KGMI.com) Part of the North Cascades Highway remains closed after being hit by wintry weather over the weekend.
WSDOT says that the stretch of State Route 20 between the Ross Dam Trailhead and Silver Star Gate is closed.
The North Cascades saw significant snowfall since Friday night, November 10th, prompting its initial closure Saturday morning.
Additional snow and slide concerns kept the highway closed through the rest of the weekend.
WSDOT says they will reevaluate conditions along the 37-mile-long stretch on Wednesday, November 15th.
