ACME, Wash. – An Acme man was arrested after a teen reported that he had sexually assaulted her.
Officials at Mount Baker High School contacted police in February after the student disclosed the alleged sexual assault.
She told officers that the suspect lived in a trailer on her parents’ property and that he was a friend of the family.
Court documents state that the assaults occurred in the trailer.
The suspect, 38-year-old Adam Perez, was contacted in April about the assaults.
He told investigators it was a “stupid drunk mistake.”
Perez was arrested on Tuesday, June 27th, and remains at the Whatcom County Jail without bail.
