BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham’s two tiny house villages operated by HomesNOW may have found the space to establish a permanent location.

Both Unity Village and Swift Haven, that have been operating on temporary permits at Post Point Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Civic Athletic Complex respectively, have until March 2024 to relocate.

The city sees a recently purchased property on Meridian Street near Cordata Park as a likely solution.

They say features that include bus access and nearby services and stores as reasons for it being the best option.

The Bellingham City Council will consider a budget amendment to explore the feasibility of the move at its meeting on Monday, July 10th.
