OLYMPIA, Wash. – Washington will receive funding to help advance early childhood developmental systems across the state.
The state Department of Health said that Washington was one of three states selected to take part in the multiyear project.
Efforts from the project will seek to further improvements in early developmental health and well-being among children, such as school readiness.
DOH officials say the focus on childhood poverty within the project aligns with the ten-year plan to dismantle poverty in the state.
