BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Today is primary day.
About 22% of eligible Whatcom County voters have returned their ballots for the Tuesday, August 1st, election.
Ballots must be placed in a drop box by 8 p.m. or postmarked no later than August 1st.
Return methods have been split so far, with about 59% opting to place it in a drop box and 41% mailing them in.
226 submitted ballots, or 0.64%, have been challenged as of Monday.
