SEDRO-WOOLLEY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Another arrest has been made in a multi-state fraud investigation out of Sedro-Woolley.

The Sedro-Woolley Police Department says officers arrested a 27-year-old woman on Thursday, Sept. 10, in connection to a scheme that reportedly robbed an elderly Sedro-Woolley resident of more than $1 million.

The Davie Police Department in Florida and federal agencies alerted Sedro-Woolley Police of the woman’s location before the arrest. She had a $1.4 million warrant for five counts of first-degree theft, among other charges.

The woman remains at the Skagit County Jail on $250,000 bail and has a trial tentatively scheduled to begin on Nov. 2.

Police say three other suspects, including a Florida police detective, remain in custody in Florida awaiting extradition to Skagit County.

The Sedro-Woolley Police Department says the case remains active and that it expects more search warrants and arrests to be made.
